The sermon “Bind Up Their Wounds” by President Henry B. Eyring made me realize that compassion is a precious feeling; acting upon it each time we feel it increases our abilities to feel and act upon it. That is a virtue cycle, where acting upon a virtue increases the virtue. .
“In the Lord’s words the Samaritan, when he saw the wounded man, stopped because ‘he had compassion.’
“More than only feeling compassion, he acted.”
