I think this is an under appreciated prayer. "May the gates of hell be shut continually before me, because that my heart is broken and my spirit is contrite! O Lord, wilt thou not shut the gates of thy righteousness before me, that I may walk in the path of the low valley, that I … Continue reading

Why do we let ourselves be angry? Anger doesn't hurt the other person. Anger is the one emotion with energy attached to it. If instead of burning that energy by feeling angry, we take action of some kind, measured, thoughtful action, we have a better chance of fixing the underlying problem. "And why should I … Continue reading

This Thanksgiving morning, I'm grateful that God has a plan, and part of that plan is creating incredibly strong, honest, and integrated individuals as I see depicted in this movie. With this preparation, they are able to receive inspiration to guide … Continue reading

"Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor … Continue reading

My good brother has been working hard on honesty for the last two years. A week ago, in encouraging him as he reviewed times he hasn't been honest because he was attempting to hide problems and appear better than he was able to be, I suggested "Piousness can't rob honesty." He said the thought was … Continue reading
